Had an issue with freezing (just what I need another thing in my life that needs to reboot), but the latest firmware seems to have fixed that. We have the RF module as well since all of our equipment if in a built-in.

We have a Harmony 1000 which once configured is very nice. So for me, I have two activities: Watch TV (amplifier set to DVD input, TV on) and Play Wii (amplifier set to Video 1; TV on).The remote tracks what state it left everything in, and issues commands to change states accordingly, that's all. So when I'm playing the Wii and I want to watch TV, it just changes the input on the amplifier. But if I press the Off button, so everything is turned off, and I press Watch TV, it turns on the TV, turns on the amplifier, and changes the input on the amplifier. If its idea gets out of step with reality, or one of your devices misses an input (which can happen when it gets lower in batteries, particularly), you press Help, and it audits its view of reality until you tell it what's wrong and then it fixes it.

Activities just tracks what state your devices needs to be in to do something.
